Volleyball Recap: Imperial Takes Down Hoover in a Playoff Battle

It's playoff time, and Imperial had no trouble coming through when it counted. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Hoover Cardinals on Tuesday. The win was some much needed relief for the Tigers as it spelled an end to their 15-game losing streak.

The victory didn't come easy: Hoover scored at least 21 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-21, 15-25, 25-22.

Imperial's win bumped their record up to 8-22. As for Hoover, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-16 record this season.

Imperial will square off against San Ysidro at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hoover does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
