Baseball Recap: Gray Stone Day Comes Up Short

Gray Stone Day and Draughn squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Gray Stone Day had to settle for second. They came up short against the Wildcats, falling 11-1. That's two games in a row now that the Knights have lost by exactly ten runs.

Gray Stone Day saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Anthony Decuir, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Gray Stone Day has also been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season. As for Draughn, they pushed their record up to 14-8 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home.

Gray Stone Day does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Draughn, they will challenge Highland Tech on Friday. The Wildcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Rams have averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season.
