Basketball Game Preview: Marina Vikings vs. Corona del Mar Sea Kings

Marina is on a ten-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Corona del Mar is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Marina Vikings will host the Corona del Mar Sea Kings at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Marina's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three contests.

Marina is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing University: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Marina blew University out of the water with a 55-26 final score. The Vikings have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Corona del Mar didn't have too much trouble with Newport Harbor on Tuesday as they won 44-30. Given the Sea Kings' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 192nd, while the Sailors are ranked 730th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Corona del Mar has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. As for Marina, their win bumped their record up to 13-10.
