Baseball Recap: Arroyo Has No Trouble Against Rosemead

Arroyo got themselves on the board against Rosemead on Friday, but Rosemead never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 7-0 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Knights, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Gio Perez was excellent, scoring two runs while going 4-for-5. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Romeo Arevalo was another key player, going 2-for-5 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Perez wasn't the only one making solid contact: Arroyo kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Arroyo's win bumped their record up to 8-5-1. As for Rosemead, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.

Arroyo didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 9-6 loss against Marshall on the 9th. As for Rosemead, they have also already played their next game, a 10-0 victory against El Monte on the 7th.
