Morrice came tearing into Monday's contest with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Hamady Hawks with a sharp 17-0 win. Considering the Orioles have won seven matches by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Wyatt Cartier and Griffin Long were major factors while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Cartier tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Long pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. At the plate, Cartier got on base in two of his three plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs, while Long went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.

In other batting news, Austin Gutting was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season. Brandon Schmidtfranz was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run and five RBI.

Morrice was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .632. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hamady only posted a batting average of .000.

Morrice's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-4. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Hamady, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-6-1.

Looking ahead, Morrice will take on Webberville at 4:00 p.m. on the 21st. Hamady has already played their next game (against Flint Southwestern Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
