Soccer Recap: Manual Comes Up Short

Manual was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 9-0 to the Normal Community Ironmen. While losing is never fun, Manual can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 386th, while Normal Community are ranked 84th).

Manual's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Normal Community, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-8-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Manual will square off against Illinois Valley Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Normal Community, they will challenge Naperville Central at 12:45 p.m. on Saturday. Naperville Central will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something Normal Community surely won't give up without a fight.
