Softball Recap: Adrian Victorious

Adrian never got on the board in their matchup last Saturday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Wellington-Napoleon on Monday. They blew past the Tigers 20-3. The Blackhawks haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Adrian got a massive performance out of Olivia Engeman, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Lizzie Clifton was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.

Engeman wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Adrian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2024.

Adrian's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2.

Adrian and Wellington-Napoleon will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. Adrian will take on rival Butler at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Wellington-Napoleon is set to face off against their familiar foe Orrick at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
