Basketball Game Preview: Kadoka Kougars vs. Wall Eagles

Two dominant guards in Kole Hermann and Teelan Kjerstad are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Kadoka Kougars will square off against the Wall Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Kadoka will bounce into Monday's contest after beating Lyman, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Kadoka walked away with a 67-54 victory over Lyman on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Kougars.

Kadoka's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Gus Stout, who went 8-for-18 en route to 18 points and eight boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Hermann, who posted 16 points.

Meanwhile, Wall waltzed into their match on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They claimed a resounding 85-46 win over the Broncs. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 games by 20 points or more this season.

Kadoka pushed their record up to 11-7 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.0 points over those games. As for Wall, their win bumped their record up to 13-6.

Kadoka came up short against Wall in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, falling 71-60. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Wall's Dawson Handcock, who shot 4-for-5 from beyond the arc and almost dropped a double-double with 16 points and nine rebounds.
