Basketball Recap: Laporte Comes Up Short

Laporte lost against Nevis back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Laporte Wildcats took a blow against the Nevis Tigers, falling 75-25. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 334th, while the Tigers are ranked 27th).

This is the second loss in a row for Laporte and nudges their season record down to 2-8. As for Nevis, their win bumped their record up to 7-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Laporte will host Hill City at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Nevis, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Browerville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
