Volleyball Recap: West Jessamine Starts Season with Win at Home

West Jessamine took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Thursday. They blew past the Lafayette Generals 3-0. The win continues a trend for the Colts in their matchups with the Generals: they've now won three in a row.

West Jessamine got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the first set. The final score came out to 30-28, 25-20, 25-19.

Among those leading the charge was Riley Cissell, who had four digs and four aces. That's the most aces she has posted since back in October of 2024.

Lafayette's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2.

West Jessamine wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Pulaski County on the 23rd. As for Lafayette, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Madison Central on the 26th.
