Preview: Viburnum Blue Jays vs. Bismarck Indians
The Viburnum Blue Jays will be playing at home against the Bismarck Indians at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Viburnum comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
Last Tuesday, Viburnum took a serious blow against Valley, falling 69-14. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Viburnum has scored all season.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Bismarck, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 55-38 loss to Fredericktown on Tuesday. Bismarck has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Loss or not, Bismarck got some senior leadership from Sven Wilson who scored 25 points along with six rebounds and three blocks and Daven Miller who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and six assists. The matchup was Wilson's sixth in a row with at least ten points.
Viburnum bumped their record down to 0-5 with that loss, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 28.5 points per game. As for Bismarck, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.
Viburnum took a serious blow against Bismarck when the teams last played back in December of 2022, falling 74-22. Will Viburnum have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
