Volleyball Recap: Jayden Chung and Zachary Wood Secure Win for Las Lomas

If Antioch wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Las Lomas, they should've done a better job of containing Soren Olson. The Las Lomas Knights were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over the Antioch Panthers on Thursday which was due in part to Olson, who had ten kills and six aces. Olson is crushing it when it comes to kills: he's had at least ten every time he's taken the court this season.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-14, 25-15.

Las Lomas was led to victory by Zachary Wood and Jayden Chung. Wood had six aces and one block, while Chung had 20 assists.

They weren't the only good server: Las Lomas was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 17 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces every time they've taken the court this season.

Las Lomas now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Antioch, they are on an 18-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Las Lomas will look to defend their home court on Monday against Monte Vista at 6:00 p.m. Antioch has already played their next contest (against Miramonte), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
