Baseball Recap: Living Word Lutheran Snaps Three-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Living Word Lutheran dropped their record down to 11-8 on Friday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins on the road. They took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Racine Lutheran/Prairie Crusaders. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Sam Eisenhauer and Gavin Weissenburger stepped up to the plate in a big way. Eisenhauer got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one triple, one run, and one RBI, while Weissenburger got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

As for Racine Lutheran/Prairie, they moved to 3-18 with that win, which also ended their seven-game losing streak. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

On Racine Lutheran/Prairie's side, they got a great performance from Liam Larsen as he tossed five innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits. The dominant performance also gave Larsen a new career-high in strikeouts (four).

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Gabe Posnanski, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Living Word Lutheran has already played their next game, a 6-5 loss against Kettle Moraine Lutheran on the 17th. As for Racine Lutheran/Prairie, they will face off against Dominican at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Crusaders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Knights have averaged an impressive 7 runs per game this season.
