Softball Game Preview: Riverside Ram vs. Dominion Titans

Riverside is a perfect 8-0 against Dominion since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Ram will welcome the Titans at 6:30 p.m. The timing is sure in Riverside's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while Dominion has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.

Last Thursday, Riverside was able to grind out a solid win over Loudoun Valley, taking the game 12-7. The victory continues a trend for the Ram in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won three in a row.

Kaylee Kadans looked comfortable as she pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Gabby Cinnamon was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashley Bui, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 4-for-4.

Riverside was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .486. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Meanwhile, Dominion lost 18-6 to South Lakes on Tuesday.

Dominion's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Riverside, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.

Everything went Riverside's way against Dominion in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Riverside made off with an 11-1 victory. Will the Ram repeat their success, or do the Titans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
