Basketball Recap: Radford Comes Up Short

Radford lost against Salem back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Radford Bobcats came up short against the Salem Spartans, falling 65-45. While losing is never fun, the Bobcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 193rd, while the Spartans are ranked 44th).

Radford has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season. As for Salem, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-3.

Radford won't have much time to rest: their next game is against James River at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Radford is facing James River at the right time seeing as James River is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Salem, they will be playing at home against Patrick Henry at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
