Soccer Game Preview: Ponderosa vs. Inderkum

Ponderosa is a perfect 3-0 against Inderkum since February of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Ponderosa Bruins will head out on the road to square off against the Inderkum Tigers at 7:30 p.m. Ponderosa's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Ponderosa's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They had just enough and edged Vista del Lago out 1-0. The Bruins wouldn't have won without Logan Svensek, who scored the game-winner.

Meanwhile, Inderkum was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of Christian Brothers. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Tigers came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 149th, while the Falcons are ranked 322nd).

Ponderosa now has a winning record of 7-6-1. As for Inderkum, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-7-4.

Ponderosa beat Inderkum by a goal in their previous meeting back in January, winning 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for Ponderosa since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
