Volleyball Recap: El Camino's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Thursday

El Camino dropped down to 27-11 on Thursday, ending the team's seven-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Canyon Crest Academy Ravens by a score of 3-2. The Wildcats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Ravens earlier this season, when they won 3-0.

Grace Houston paced El Camino's offense, picking up 12 kills. Houston got some help from Jaida Garcia and her 33 assists.

As for Canyon Crest Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-11 record this season. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory they have posted since September 12th.

Canyon Crest Academy can attribute much of their success to Jaz Damineni, who had six aces. Damineni is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last five games she's played.

As of now, neither El Camino nor Canyon Crest Academy have any future games scheduled.
