Volleyball Recap: Notre Dame's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Notre Dame waltzed into their contest on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Northwest Mohawks. The Titans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Mohawks, too.

Notre Dame was especially dominant in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-18, 25-16.

Maycee Ford paced Notre Dame's offense, picking up 18 kills. Ford got some help from Lyndsey Schaefer and her 19 assists. Schaefer was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Notre Dame's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Northwest, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Looking ahead, Notre Dame will face off against Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Northwest, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-2 loss against Minford on the 6th.
