Football Recap: Fleming Island Golden Eagles vs. Riverside Generals
Fleming Island was the 31-26 winner over Riverside when they last played one another back in November of 2017, but their luck changed this time around. The Fleming Island Golden Eagles fell 48-39 to the Riverside Generals on Friday.
Several Golden Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Trace Burney, who picked up 75 receiving yards and two touchdowns. That's the most total yards Burney has posted since back in September of 2023. Fleming Island also got a significant boost from Demhir Jackson, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 113 yards.
