Softball Recap: Arab Falls Short of Lawrence County in the Playoffs

Arab and Lawrence County squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Arab had to settle for second. They came up short against the Red Devils, falling 8-0. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Knights' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Arab's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-22-1. As for Lawrence County, they are on a roll lately: they've won 18 of their last 19 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 43-10-1 record this season.

Arab wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, an 8-5 defeat against Ardmore on the 6th. As for Lawrence County, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 4-3 loss against Scottsboro on the 6th.
