After a string of four wins, Hillcrest's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They fell victim to a rough 6-1 defeat at the hands of the Tuscaloosa County Wildcats. Hillcrest was red-hot offensively headed into the game (they scored no less than four goals in the four matchups prior) but Tuscaloosa County's defense proved too tough.
Hillcrest's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 4-2-1. As for Tuscaloosa County, their victory bumped their record up to 4-9.
