Volleyball Recap: Meridian Comes Up Short

Meridian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Camarillo Scorpions.

Meridian's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Camarillo, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.

Coming up, Meridian is headed away from home for the first time to face off against Bishop Kelly at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Camarillo, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against Doral Academy Red Rock on the 22nd.
