A Season-Best Effort from Ty Williams Leads Madisonville over La Grange

Madisonville was led to victory by Ty Williams, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Williams threw for 346 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 10.8 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 30 yards and a touchdown. His passing game has become a key predictor of Madisonville's success: the team is 2-1 when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-2 otherwise.

If the past is any indication, Williams could be in store for another big game when he takes on Caldwell on Friday. When Williams last faced the Hornets back in September of 2023, he threw for 163 yards and three touchdowns on perfect 7-for-7 passing, and also rushed for 43 yards.

Caldwell had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Mcdaniel it was a similar story. Mcdaniel rushed for 154 yards and a touchdown the last time he and the Hornets duked it out back in October of 2023.
