Softball Game Preview: East Clinton Astros vs. Georgetown G-Men

The East Clinton Astros are taking a road trip to take on the Georgetown G-Men at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Georgetown took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on East Clinton, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, East Clinton turned things around against Felicity-Franklin on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Cardinals by a score of 6-1.

Georgetown couldn't beat Bethel-Tate on Wednesday even though they stacked four runs on them in the first inning. The G-Men came up short against the Tigers, falling 20-6.

Georgetown saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ashley Mullins, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Lelia Gullett also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Georgetown's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for East Clinton, their win bumped their record up to 5-9.

East Clinton came out on top in a nail-biter against Georgetown in their previous matchup two weeks ago, sneaking past 7-5. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Astros since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
