Volleyball Recap: Grandview Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Grandview had taken Cherokee Trail down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Thursday. The Wolves fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 3-2. If the Wolves were looking for revenge after losing 3-1 to the Cougars when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Grandview started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-27, 25-23, 25-20, 15-12.

Amelie Pigeaire paced Grandview's offense, picking up 19 kills. Pigeaire got some help from Julia Ulitzky and her 43 assists. Ulitzky was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Alize Flores had a dynamite game For Cherokee Trail., getting 14 digs and four aces. That's the most aces Flores has posted since back in August of 2024.

Grandview has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Cherokee Trail, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-4.

Grandview has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Mullen on the 25th. As for Cherokee Trail, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Cherry Creek on the 27th.
