Newark entered their tilt with Earlville on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Red Raiders by a score of 2-0. That's more bragging rights for the Norsemen, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The win didn't come easy: Earlville scored at least 19 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-19.

Among those leading the charge was Morgan Hergenhahn, who had eight digs and four assists. Tessa Kot also deserves some recognition as she had her first dig of the season.

Newark's victory bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Earlville, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.

Newark didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Monticello on the 12th. As for Earlville, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Lowpoint-Washburn on the 15th.
