Basketball Recap: Paisy Perkins Key Part of Team Effort in Huskies Win

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Horizon had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They walked away with a 44-37 win over the Flowing Wells Caballeros. This was payback for the Huskies, who suffered a 60-25 loss the last time these two teams met.

Horizon's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Paisy Perkins, who posted six points in addition to nine boards and four blocks. Perkins has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Rylee Kimball, who earned ten points.

Horizon smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in seven consecutive matchups.

Despite the loss, Flowing Wells still got an impressive performance from Nevaeh Urenda, who put up 23 points along with six rebounds and three steals.

Horizon's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-10. As for Flowing Wells, their defeat dropped their record down to 20-9.

Horizon has already played their next contest, a 53-32 loss against Kellis on the 1st. Flowing Wells does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
