After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Moore, Mustang was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Stillwater Pioneers. This was a revenge game for the Broncos: when they faced off against the Pioneers two weeks ago, they had to take a 2-0 defeat.
Mustang had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 26-24, 25-18, 25-17.
Despite the loss, Stillwater still got an impressive performance from Taylor Rattay, who had 28 digs and three assists. Rattay is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 13 or more in each of the last three games she's played. Kael Valdois was another key player, getting 11 digs.
Mustang's victory bumped their record up to 14-16. As for Stillwater, they moved to 19-12 with that loss, which also ended their eight-match winning streak.
