Basketball Recap: Garrett Morgan Key Part of a Team Effort in Panthers Win

Parris Prep Academy's game two weeks ago was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They walked away with a 70-63 victory over the Charlotte Elite Academy Soldiers. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 54th, while the Soldiers are ranked 302nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Parris Prep Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Garrett Morgan, who posted 22 points. Charlotte Elite Academy is facing Central Carolina Prep at the right time seeing as Central Carolina Prep is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
