The Hagerty Huskies will head out on the road to face off against the Seminole Seminoles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Friday, Hagerty didn't have too much trouble with Mount Dora as they won 37-21. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Huskies' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 113th, while the Hurricanes are ranked 268th).

Royce Jenkins was his usual excellent self, throwing for 103 yards and four touchdowns, while also rushing for 101 yards on only 12 carries. Those 101 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Colton Hatfield was in the mix as well, providing Hagerty with two TDs.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Hagerty was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 298 rushing yards. They are 4-1 when they've run for more than 200 yards.
Another reason for the win was Hagerty's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for nine sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Avery Zapitz and Jonathan Lewis, who racked up five sacks between them. Zapitz has been hot recently, having posted at least one sack the last three times he's played. Ryan Davis was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making nine total tackles.
Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Seminole ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They managed a 16-10 victory over Spruce Creek. The Seminoles haven't had any issues with the Hawks recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.
Hagerty better keep an eye on Anthony Gay III. He was instrumental in Seminole's win, rushing for 100 yards and one score on only 13 carries, while also picking up 75 receiving yards.
Hagerty's record now sits at 5-3. As for Seminole, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.
Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. Hagerty has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 216.4 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Seminole struggles in that department as they've been averaging 183.1 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Hagerty was taken down by Seminole 42-7 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Huskies were down 35-7.
