Volleyball Recap: Prairie Ridge Wolves vs. Dundee-Crown Chargers
Prairie Ridge was the 2-1 winner over Dundee-Crown when they last played one another last Saturday, but their luck changed this time around. The Wolves fell just short of the Chargers by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. The Wolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.
In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Prairie Ridge sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 27-25, 21-25, 25-20.
Leading Dundee-Crown to victory were Maura Minogue and Nina Marcanti. Minogue had 26 digs and three assists, while Marcanti had eight digs and three aces. That's the most digs Marcanti has posted over her last seven matchups.
Prairie Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 26-7. As for Dundee-Crown, they pushed their record up to 16-17 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road.
