Softball Recap: Copper Hills Has No Trouble Against Hurricane

Copper Hills saw some tournament action on Friday. Everything went their way against the Hurricane Tigers as the Copper Hills Grizzlies made off with a 15-5 win.

The team relied heavily on Janie Coats, who went 1-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Averi Yazzie, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Copper Hills was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .409. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .321 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

Copper Hills now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Hurricane, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

We've got a battle between Grizzlies coming up. As for Hurricane, they will face off against Bountiful at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Hurricane is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.5 runs per game this season.
