Soccer Game Preview: Monomoy vs. Falmouth

The Monomoy Sharks will take on the Falmouth Clippers at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. Monomoy's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Monomoy's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Martha's Vineyard Regional 1-0. Monomoy's winning goal came courtesy of Tate Laramee.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Falmouth). They put the hurt on Nantucket with a sharp 6-2 victory on Tuesday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for Falmouth considering their one-goal performance the match before.

Monomoy's win bumped their record up to 3-4-2. As for Falmouth, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3-4.
