Basketball Recap: Boardman Victorious

Boardman's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They secured a 71-65 W over the South Range Raiders. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Spartans considering their 20-point performance the matchup before.

Boardman's win bumped their record up to 5-10. As for South Range, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-6.

Looking ahead, Boardman will take on Harding at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Spartans will be up against the Raiders' rather soft defense (which has allowed 50.69 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for South Range, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Poland Seminary at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Bulldogs will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Raiders surely won't give up without a fight.
