Volleyball Recap: Cabrini Takes a Loss

Cabrini came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to Haynes Academy. The Crescents have struggled against Haynes Academy recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

While Cabrini was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-23, 25-20.

Haynes Academy can attribute much of their success to Ella Feehan, who had 16 digs and two aces.

Cabrini's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 6-16. As for Haynes Academy, they moved to 23-5 with that win, which also ended their three-match losing streak.

Looking ahead, Cabrini is taking a road trip to challenge Chalmette at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Haynes Academy, they will host John Curtis Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
