Recap: Jackson Generals vs. Mourning Sharks

On Tuesday, the Jackson Generals's game was all tied up 21-21 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They enjoyed a cozy 57-42 win over Mourning. That's another feather in the cap for Jackson, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Jackson to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jordany Fils-Aime, who scored 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Leonard Clark, who scored 16 points.

Jackson has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. As for Mourning, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-7.

Jackson on the road again on Thursday and play against ABF Academy at 5:30 p.m. on January 18th. ABF Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 13 matches -- so hopefully Jackson likes a good challenge. As for Mourning, they will head out on the road to take on North Miami at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Florida (North Miami is ranked 625th, while Mourning is ranked 647th).
