Basketball Recap: Germantown Takes a Loss

On Friday, the Germantown Red Devils didn't have quite enough to beat the Whites Creek Cobras and fell 52-49. The Red Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Whites Creek's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Noah Hughes, who went 5 of 9 en route to 14 points and five rebounds. The dominant performance gave Hughes a new career-high in boards. Another player making a difference was Malachi Benton, who posted 12 points.

Germantown's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Whites Creek, with the victory, they broke their eight-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-8.

Germantown wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 52-36 loss against Page on the 28th. As for Whites Creek, they will challenge Goodpasture Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Goodpasture Christian will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Whites Creek surely won't give up without a fight.
