Basketball Recap: Perry Comes Up Short

Perry lost against Prairie City-Monroe back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bluejays took a blow against the Mustangs, falling 56-25. The Bluejays were down 44-21 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Perry's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lily Myers, who posted seven points along with 16 rebounds and three steals. Myers is crushing it when it comes to boards: she's pulled down at least ten every time she's taken the court this season.

Perry now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Prairie City-Monroe, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-1.

Looking ahead, Perry will square off against Roland-Story at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Prairie City-Monroe, they will challenge Jefferson-Scranton at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
