Basketball Recap: Williamsville North Comes Up Short

Williamsville North lost against Jamestown on January 7th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Williamsville North Spartans came up short against the Jamestown Red & Green, falling 84-60. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 275th, while the Red & Green are ranked 18th).

Williamsville North has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.8 points per game. As for Jamestown, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-1.

Williamsville North has already played their next game (against Frontier), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Jamestown wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, an 84-44 victory against Lancaster on the 29th.
