Preview: Jimtown Jimmies vs. Elkhart Lions
Jimtown has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Elkhart Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Even though Jimtown has not done well against South Bend Washington recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Jimtown walked away with a 53-42 win over South Bend Washington.
Dylan Fey was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Bishop Williams, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds.
Elkhart can finally bid farewell to their 20-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They came out on top against Plymouth by a score of 66-58. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Jimtown has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-7 record this season. As for Elkhart, their win ended a 13-game drought at home and bumped them up to 1-14.
Jimtown suffered a grim 54-32 defeat to Elkhart in their previous meeting back in January of 2023. Can Jimtown avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
