Baseball Recap: Channel Islands Takes a Loss

After soaring to 13 runs the game before, Channel Islands was a bit more limited in their match on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Santa Paula Cardinals by a score of 2-1. The Raiders haven't had much luck with the Cardinals recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Channel Islands saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Sanchez, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Channel Islands' loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Santa Paula, their record now sits at 2-7.

While Channel Islands had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
