            The New Kent Trojans will face off against the Broadway Gobblers at 1:30  p.m.  on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
New Kent is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup  on Monday. Everything went their way against Kettle Run as they made off with  an  11-3 victory. The Trojans are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 15 straight.
 Abbie Kegley made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out eight batters over  seven innings while giving up just two earned  (and one unearned) runs off   seven  hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than one  walk in eight consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-3 with two  RBI. That's the most  hits  she has posted since back in April.
 In other batting news, New Kent let  Hannah Tober and  Kendall White run wild. Tober  got on base  in three of her four plate appearances with three  runs, while  White  went 2-for-3 with two  RBI and one  run.  Libby Britt also deserves some recognition as  she  snagged her first  stolen base of the season.
 New Kent was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .393. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Kettle Run only posted a  batting average of  .250.
 Meanwhile, Broadway came tearing into  Tuesday's  contest with three straight wins  (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Golden Eagles 8-1.
 New Kent's win was  their 13th straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 21-3. Those  home  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Broadway, their record now sits at 21-4.
