Volleyball Recap: Chula Vista Learning Community Charter Comes Up Short

Chula Vista Learning Community Charter lost against San Diego Academy last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Cobras fell just short of the Cavaliers by a score of 3-2. The Cobras have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Chula Vista Learning Community Charter took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 25-17, 21-25, 27-29, 25-23, 15-11.

San Diego Academy was led to victory by Dustin Jewell and Josue Flores. Jewell had 52 assists and 17 digs, while Flores had 27 digs and two assists. Jewell has been hot for a while, having posted 14 or more assists the last 14 times he's played.

Chula Vista Learning Community Charter's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for San Diego Academy, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-5.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Chula Vista Learning Community Charter is set to face off against their familiar foe Bayfront Charter at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, San Diego Academy will square off against rival School for Entrepreneurship & Technology at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
