Preview: Snook Bluejays vs. Falls City Beavers
Snook is 0-2 against Falls City since November of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Snook Bluejays will be playing at home against the Falls City Beavers at 7:00 p.m. Snook is out to stop a five-game streak of losses at home dating back to last season.
Snook fell victim to Burton's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were outmatched by the Panthers on the road and fell 27-0. The last quarter was a mere formality, since the game's final score was reached by the end of the third quarter.
Meanwhile, Falls City had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They blew past Louise, posting a 41-7 victory at home. With Falls City ahead 28-0 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Falls City found their leader in underclassman Braylon Johnson, who rushed for 114 yards and three touchdowns on only nine carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Moy, who rushed for 117 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries.
Falls City's victory bumped their season record to 4-3 while Snook's defeat dropped theirs to 1-6.
Snook was taken down by Falls City 59-21 in their previous meeting back in October of 2022. Will Snook have more luck at home instead of on the road?
