Softball Recap: Terra Nova Tigers vs. Mills Vikings

Terra Nova had lost four straight at home, but on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 6-14 to make it five. They came up short against the Mills Vikings, falling 21-0. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Tigers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

As for Mills, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-3-1 record this season. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 11.4 runs.

For Mills' part, Hailey Pedroza looked comfortable as she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Pedroza has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Kalia Woo was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. What's more, she posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. Gabby Moreno also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.
