Baseball Recap: Brethren Comes Up Short

Brethren was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Marion Eagles, falling 15-0. If the Bobcats were looking for revenge after losing 22-2 to the Eagles when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Brethren's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Marion, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brethren will head out to take on Frankfort at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Marion, they will venture away from home to square off against Vestaburg at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles are facing the Wolverines at the right time seeing as the Wolverines are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
