Basketball Game Preview: HomeSchool Resource Center Patriots vs. Faith Christian Falcons

The HomeSchool Resource Center Patriots will be taking part in a tournament against the Faith Christian Falcons at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

HomeSchool Resource Center took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They came out on top against City Baptist School by a score of 57-48.

Noel Green continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double with 21 points and 23 boards. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 21 games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Caleb Reina, who posted 16 points.

Meanwhile, Faith Christian blew past Pathway Christian, posting a 55-19 victory.

HomeSchool Resource Center better keep an eye on Carson Bivins. He was instrumental in Faith Christian's win, dropping a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Those 11 boards gave Bivins a new career-high. Logan Baker was another key player, putting up five points and four steals.

HomeSchool Resource Center's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Faith Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.

HomeSchool Resource Center might still be hurting after the 67-46 defeat they got from Faith Christian when the teams last played back in December of 2024. Thankfully for the Patriots, Isaiah Schuler (who went 11-for-21 on his way to 24 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
