Football Recap: Loomis Wolves vs. Archangels Catholic Defenders
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Loomis can now relate to. They were beaten by the Archangels Catholic Defenders 50-0 on Friday. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Wolves were not able to get on the board.
Gavin Geilenkirchen was his usual excellent self, rushing for 129 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 carries for Archangels Catholic. Another player making a difference was Ethan Wieseler, who rushed for 18 yards and a pair of TDs.
Loomis' loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Archangels Catholic, they pushed their record up to 9-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home.
