Westside had lost four straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 0-4 to make it five. They lost 59-34 to the Prince Avenue Christian Wolverines. On the bright side, the 34- point effort marked the Rams' highest-scoring contest to date.

As for Prince Avenue Christian, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Ben Musser was his usual excellent self, throwing for 260 yards and four TDs while completing 72% of his passes, and also rushing for 68 yards and one score on only eight carries. Those 260 passing yards gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Andrew Beard, who rushed for 120 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 13 carries.

Coming up, Westside will look to defend their home field on Friday against Abbeville at 7:30 p.m. The Panthers' defense has only allowed 14.5 points per game this season, so the Rams' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Prince Avenue Christian, they will square off against Hart County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The game will give the Wolverines their first taste of in-conference action this season.
