Softball Recap: Schuylkill Haven Takes a Loss

Schuylkill Haven suffered their biggest loss since April 3rd on Tuesday. They came up short against the Williams Valley Vikings, falling 16-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-3 on April 3rd.

Schuylkill Haven saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Teagan Wehr, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. Wehr is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last eight games she's played.

This is the second loss in a row for Schuylkill Haven and nudges their season record down to 11-6. As for Williams Valley, they pushed their record up to 16-1 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Schuylkill Haven will welcome Marian Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Schuylkill Haven will need to watch out since Marian Catholic has now posted at least ten runs in their last five matches. As for Williams Valley, they will be playing at home against Tri-Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
